Terms of Service | Tony’s Scans N Plans
Terms for your scanning visit: plans and files, payment, property access, service limits and help if something goes wrong.
Who you are dealing with
Tony Tung Le, doing business as Tony’s Scans N Plans, San Diego, California.
When you book on this site, your agreement is with him. Tony does the visit himself.
What you are buying
We measure your property with a laser scanner and check by hand. You receive the plans and files in your chosen package and extras. See packages, extras and prices on the pricing page and before payment. The price shown when you pay is the price you pay.
For a larger home or building you pay a deposit when you book, and the balance is quoted before the visit, based on the size of the property.
The plans arrive within a week of the visit. The delivery date is shown when you book and stored with your reservation.
Booking and payment
- Your time slot is held for 30 minutes while you pay. The booking is confirmed when the payment goes through; a held slot that is not paid for is released.
- Prices are in US dollars. Card, Apple Pay and Google Pay payments are processed by Stripe on Stripe’s secure page; your card details never reach us. Stripe e-mails the receipt to the address you enter there.
- Whop hosts its secure checkout and sends its receipt to the e-mail address you enter. We confirm the reservation after the server verifies the payment.
- We never charge for anything that is not shown on the pricing page or agreed with you in writing — a text message counts.
What we need from you on the day
- The correct address, and a way in at the arrival time: someone to open the door, or a lockbox code or instructions sent by text.
- Access to every room that should be on the plans. A room we cannot enter is left off the plans or marked as not measured.
- A heads-up about pets, alarms, locked areas and anything unsafe.
- Your confirmation that you are allowed to have the property scanned: you own it, you rent it, or you act for the owner or the tenant.
What happens when we arrive and cannot get in is on the cancellation page.
What the plans are, and are not
The plans show your property on the visit date, measured by laser scanner and checked by hand. Small differences are possible where furniture or finishes hide a wall, or where we cannot reach.
Square footage on the plans is measured room by room from the inside, so it can differ from a listing or a tax record that counts differently.
The plans are drawings for you and for the people you hire. They are not a land survey, not a permit application, not a structural, safety or code inspection, and not a legal description of the property.
They are not stamped by a licensed architect or engineer. If you ask us to pass the files to an architect or engineer — yours or one we work with — their work is a separate service under their own terms.
Your files, your use
The plans and files we deliver are yours to keep. Use them, copy them and share them for anything connected to your property. Once you confirm you have them, we keep no copy.
The text, design, sample drawings and photos on this website belong to us and may not be copied or reused without written permission.
If something is wrong
Tell us as soon as you notice: call or text 619-301-0013. What we do about a mistake in the plans, a late delivery or a visit that did not happen is on the cancellation and refunds page.
Limits of our responsibility
Our responsibility for a booking is limited to what you paid. We are not responsible for others’ decisions using the plans, such as sale prices, permits or material orders. Your consumer rights under California law still apply.
Disagreements, the law and changes
These terms follow the laws of California. If we disagree about something, talk to us first: call or text 619-301-0013 and Tony will try to sort it out with you directly.
If we change these terms, we update this page and the date at the top. The version in force when you booked applies to that booking.
