Our aim

Everyone should be able to read, book and get their files, with any device or assistive technology. We aim for Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, level AA. No outside accessibility audit has been done yet. This page lists what works and what does not.

What works today

  • Every page can be used with a keyboard alone: the Tab key moves through links and buttons, and the focused element is outlined.
  • A “Skip to content” link is the first thing the Tab key reaches on every page. It appears when it has focus and jumps past the navigation to the page content.
  • The booking dialog announces itself as a dialog, keeps the focus inside, moves it to the heading of each step, and closes with the Escape key.
  • Form fields have visible labels, and error messages are announced by screen readers.
  • Images that carry information have text alternatives; decorative images are hidden from screen readers.
  • The page language is set to English, Spanish or Vietnamese to match the language you choose, so screen readers use the right voice.
  • Press Play to start the voice guide. It reads each page aloud as you scroll and shows the words on screen. You can pause it or turn it off. It never starts by itself.
  • When your system asks for reduced motion, nothing on the site moves on its own: sections appear in place instead of sliding in, scrolling jumps instead of gliding, and the 3D model stays still until you turn it.
  • The sample PDF files are tagged for screen readers and pass the PDF/UA-1 check. The drawing sheets have a title, headings and real tables; each page of the sample scan reports is a picture with a written description of what it shows.

What is not there yet

  • The sample scan reports come from the scanning software as pictures of pages. Their descriptions say what each page shows, but the numbers on them cannot be read cell by cell as a table. Ask us and we send the figures as text.
  • The site has not yet been tested by people who rely on assistive technology every day. If you do, and something is in your way, tell us — you will be helping the next visitor.
